Vegetable Uthappam


SPICY VEG UTHAPPAM:


Steam finely chopped vegetables [1/2 cup: Carrots, cabbage, beans and capsicum] for 8-10minutes.

Masala:
Heat oil [1½ tbs] in a pan. 
Fry chopped onions [1/2] till it turns pink. 
Add salt and chicken masala powder [2tsp] and fry for a minute. Or use Curry masala powder. 
Add the steamed vegetables and cook for 3minutes. 


SIMPLE VEG UTHAPPAM:

Heat oil [1 tsp] in a pan. 
Fry chopped onions [1/2] till it turns pink. 
Add salt and idli powder [3tsp] and fry for a minute. 
Add the steamed vegetables and cook for 3minutes. 

UTHAPPAM:

Heat the pan. Pour one ladle of dosa batter in the pan. Don't spread the batter much. Uthappam must be thick. 
Spread the masala on the dosa. Add oil in the sides. Cover the dosa with a lid and cook for a minute. Cook on both the sides. 
You can make 3 Uthappams with this masala. 

Goes well with coconut chutney and Sambar.
