- Pressure cook Keerai/Spinach [one bunch] with sliced onions [1], chopped tomatoes [1], dry red chillies [3] and tamarind piece [1 inch long piece] for 10minutes - 2whistles.
- Pressure cook Tuvar dal [1/3cup] with turmeric powder [1/2tsp] and salt for 3whistles.
Blend both the cooked dal and Keerai/Spinach in a mixer grinder with sufficient salt. Do it for seconds. Don't grind much - Use Pulse switch.
Season it with Vadagam (OR) mustard seeds and sliced shallots [4-5].
