Sprouts Masala


This is an 'easy to make' recipe. Very Nutritious !

Pressure cook sprouts [1 big cup] for two whistles.
Heat oil [1½ tbs] in a pan. 
Saute fennel seeds [1/2tsp], chopped onions [1], chopped garlic pods [2-3] and green chillies [1] and fry till the onions turn pink.  
Then add chopped tomatoes [1], turmeric powder [1/4tsp], chilli powder [1/2tsp], coriander powder [1tsp], garam masala powder [1/2tsp] and salt. Fry till oil oozes out. 
Add the cooked sprouts to it and mix well. 
Cook for 4-5minutes. 


Goes well with Chapathi. 


Using the same recipe, I made masala with Horse gram sprouts. 
Note: Pressure cook Horse gram sprouts for 4-5whistles. It takes time.
