Venn Pongal



Pressure cook raw rice [1cup] and green gram dal [1/3cup] with 5 cups of water and salt. 

Then add milk [half glass] to it and cook for some time.

Heat ghee separately. Add peppercorns [1 ½ tbs], cumin seeds [1/2tbs], few curry leaves, ginger pieces [1tsp] and cashew nuts. Fry for a minute and add it to the pongal. Mix it well.  

Tasty pongal ready! 
Please do not compromise on 'Ghee'. Also have a cup of hot coffee after eating Pongal. The combo is great! :)
