Kalkandu Rice


This sweet recipe is very easy to make. Give a try. You will like it.

Fry cashews in a spoon of ghee to golden brown in color. Keep it aside.
In the same pan, add cardamom [3-4], raw rice [1/2cup], milk [1/2cup] and water [2cups].
Pressure cook for 4-5whistles. Mash the rice little.

Powder rock candy crystals/Kalkandu [2/3cup].
Add this powder to the cooked and mashed rice.
Simmer for 4-5minutes till the sweet thickens.
Garnish with the fried cashews.

Serve hot !
